Getting started

How much does an AI agent cost for a Singapore SME?

What decides a custom AI agent's price, what per-seat tools cost instead, and how EDGE and the EIS tax deduction change the sum. We quote after a call.

There is no list price, because the cost depends on the job. Glints quotes after a 20-minute call about the job, the systems it touches and the teams that will use it. Four things move the price. A grant can support up to 50% of eligible costs for an SME. The share you pay yourself can qualify for a 400% tax deduction on the first S$50,000 a year.

What decides the quote

  1. How many systems the job touches. A job that reads one inbox and drafts replies costs less. A job that reads WhatsApp, checks a POS and posts to Xero costs more.
  2. Whether any system needs a link built. Common tools such as Xero, Outlook, Shopify and Lark connect through connectors we have checked. For a system your company built, we build the link with you, and that is part of the quote.
  3. Whether a ready-made tool would do the job. If a tool on IMDA's pre-approved list would do it, we tell you on the call. Glints builds custom agents, and a custom build is not the right answer for every job.
  4. How many teams. We build one job for one team first. Each further team starts the same way.

A first build includes your own copy of Glimmer in your company's cloud account and the links to your first systems. It also includes the first job working in your team chat, and training for your team leads. See what you get.

What you pay to run it

The AI model runs on your own account with the AI company you choose, such as Anthropic, OpenAI or Google. You pay for what the agent uses, on your own account with that company. We agree how that usage is billed before we start.

The console shows each team's cost in dollars next to the jobs its agent did that month. You can switch the model later, and each team can use a different one.

The per-person tools, for comparison

The other way to buy AI is a seat for each person. ChatGPT Business Standard seats are S$25 a month paid yearly, as OpenAI's pricing page shows in Singapore. The page does not say whether GST is included. More details. Microsoft 365 Copilot is from US$21 a person a month paid yearly, before GST, on top of your Microsoft 365 plan. Microsoft bills agent work separately, by use. More details.

A seat helps each person with their own work. A build takes one job off the whole team. Glimmer vs ChatGPT and Glimmer vs Microsoft Copilot show where each one wins.

Grants and tax

EDGE, Enterprise Singapore's grant, supports up to 50% of eligible costs for an SME, within S$100,000 per company each year. More details. A ready-made AI chatbot from the pre-approved list is eligible for at most S$7,500 of support. More details. A bigger build that connects your systems can apply under Large-scale Digital Transformation. One agent doing one task on its own is not eligible. More details. That support is set case by case and does not count towards the yearly cap. More details. IMDA's AI x Digital Leaders also matches companies outside the tech industry with partner vendors. More details.

For EDGE, you must apply before you sign a contract or pay any vendor, and you apply yourself through your own Corppass. Read the two rules.

The Enterprise Innovation Scheme is a tax deduction from IRAS. There is no cash payout. For AI adoption it gives 400% of the first S$50,000 of qualifying spending a year, for the Years of Assessment 2027 and 2028. It applies only to the share you pay yourself, and spending a grant subsidised is excluded. If your company has no taxable profit, there is no tax to lower. More details.

A cheaper first step

Our hands-on workshop is one afternoon with an AI agent and a real task from your business. Seats are from S$779, and your company gets S$500 off a first build within six months.

Questions people also ask

Do we pay a monthly fee for each person?

There is no fee for each person. You pay for the build, and for the AI usage on your own account with the AI company you choose. We agree how usage is billed before we start. We keep the systems underneath running, with upgrades and security fixes.

Can the grant cover the whole cost?

No. EDGE supports up to 50% of eligible costs for an SME, and you pay the rest. The EIS deduction then applies to the share you paid.

What if we stop working with you?

Glimmer runs in your own cloud account, and everything we build belongs to you. Your IT team or another vendor can take over running it.

Does the price include training?

Yes. Your team leads learn to change an agent, add documents and make new ones. We call the handover done when someone on your team can change an agent's setup without us.

Where to start

Before the call, write down the job, the systems it touches and roughly how many hours a week it takes. Then book a call. You will leave with a view on whether it needs a build, a ready-made tool or only a seat, and which grant fits.
