AI for education

An AI teammate for your centre that answers parents while the centre is closed

Glimmer works in your team chat. It answers the 10pm parent enquiry, prepares the term invoices and finds the records your teachers already keep. Your team asks in plain words, and you choose what needs your OK before it goes out.

Where the hours go in a tuition or enrichment centre

Parents ask questions at 10pm, and term fees are chased one WhatsApp message at a time. Class records sit in spreadsheets.

10pm enquiries answered before the centre next door

Parent enquiries land on WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook after the kids are in bed. By the time the front desk replies the next morning, the trial class is already booked with the centre down the road.

Enquiries don't keep opening hours. The centre manager checks in over breakfast; the agent already worked the overnight queue.

@Glimmer anything come in overnight? We lost two trial sign-ups last month just from replying the next morning ๐Ÿ˜…

GlimmerBotWed, 7:06 AM

Four enquiries after closing, each answered from the Term 3 schedule sheet within minutes of arriving:

Ms D'SouzaFacebookSec 2 Science, SatTrial booked

Both trials are on Saturday's calendar with confirmations sent. One caveat: Mdm Koh asked whether the sibling discount stacks with the trial promo, that combination isn't anywhere in the price list, so I sent a holding reply rather than guess. Her thread's flagged for you.

It doesn't stack, I'll reply her myself. Two trials booked before breakfast ๐ŸŽ‰

Term invoices out, make-up credits netted, arrears chased

Term billing means rebuilding 140-odd invoices from the class spreadsheet, netting off last term's make-up class credits by hand, then chasing outstanding fees one family at a time on WhatsApp.

Billing week without the spreadsheet marathon. One ask covers the invoice run, the credits and the chasing.

@Glimmer Term 3 invoices go out Monday, 143 students across the class sheets, and I still haven't worked out who's owed make-up credits from Term 2. Can you prep the run?

GlimmerBotThu, 4:47 PM

Prepped, 143 draft invoices in Xero, built from the Term 3 class sheets. Two things before you release: 11 students carry unused Term 2 make-up credits totalling S$1,240, netted off their drafts with a line item so parents can see it. And 5 families still owe Term 2 fees, S$2,180 in total.

WhatsApp reminder, Term 2 arrears
Hi XXXXXX, a gentle reminder that XXXXXX's Term 2 fee of XXXXXX is still outstanding. You can PayNow to the usual UEN, or reply here if you'd like to discuss, no rush if it's already on the way. ๐Ÿ™

Nothing sends until you approve. Release invoices Monday 9am and send the five reminders now?

Approved, reminders now, invoices Monday. That's my whole Friday back.

SPARK evidence pulled from what teachers already log

The SPARK assessment window is coming and the documentation lives in ten places, daily class updates, photo journals, lesson plans. Teachers end up rewriting it all over their evenings.

The documentation already exists, it's just scattered. The principal asks; the agent assembles it and shows the gaps.

@Glimmer our SPARK assessment is in 4 weeks and the teachers are already dreading the documentation. Can you check what we actually have before anyone starts writing their weekends away?

GlimmerBotMon, 1:34 PM

Went through the shared drive, the photo journals and each class's daily Lark updates, most of the evidence already exists. Mapped against the teaching-and-learning areas:

AreaSourceStatus
Curriculum plansShared driveComplete
Children's portfoliosPhoto journalsComplete
Learning-goal reflectionsClass Lark updatesMay missing, K1, K2
Parent communicationWhatsApp + newslettersComplete

Everything's compiled into one indexed folder, organised the way the assessors read it. I've flagged the May gaps rather than writing the reflections myself, ECDA-facing documentation needs your and the senior teacher's sign-off before anything goes in the folder.

That's most of the weekend panic gone. I'll get Hui Ling on the May reflections, leave those two to us.

Your systems

It works with what your centre already runs

Nothing gets replaced. Common tools connect through connectors we have checked. For the rest, we build the connector with you, or Glimmer uses the website the way a person would.

Singapore grants

The government pays part. You pay the rest

A first AI build for one job is the kind of project Singapore's AI grants were made for. GenAI x Digital Leaders from IMDA covers a focused first build of up to S$20,000. We help you apply.

How we start

One team, one job, about 3 months

We pick the job that costs you the most hours, build the first agent with you and hand it over. Your team runs it after that.

Questions owners ask

Straight answers, before you book a call

Do we have to change our class spreadsheets or our accounts?

No. Glimmer works on top of what you already run: the class spreadsheets, your shared drive and your accounts. Nobody has to learn a new app. We confirm the fit for your systems before we start.

Our teachers talk on WhatsApp. Can Glimmer work there?

Yes. Glimmer joins the chat app your team already uses: Lark, Microsoft Teams, Slack, Google Chat, WhatsApp or Telegram. If you do not have a shared chat app yet, we help you pick one before we start.

Will it send invoices or reply to parents on its own?

Only if you let it. You choose which actions need a person's OK, such as an invoice, a fee reminder or a reply to a parent. Glimmer asks the person who made the request, in the same chat. Nothing happens until someone taps Approve.

We keep records about children. What about our data?

Your data stays yours. Glimmer runs in your own cloud account, or on a private server we set up for you. Each team's Glimmer sees only what you allow. If a person is not in that team's chat group, they cannot ask it anything.

Under Singapore's PDPA, your centre is responsible for the records you keep about children and parents. So we write down exactly where the data goes before we start, and your data protection officer can check it.

What does it cost, and can a grant pay part?

We price it after a call about your work, because the cost depends on the size of the build. Most first builds qualify for a Singapore grant. The government pays part, you pay the rest, and we help you apply. See which grant fits.

Can I try it before we commit to a build?

Yes. Our leadership workshop puts an AI agent in your hands for an afternoon, with no coding. Seats start from S$779.
