AI for construction and trades

An AI teammate for contractors that builds the claim with the site photos attached

Glimmer works in your team chat. It prices a tender from your past quotes and counts who turned up on site. It builds the progress claim from the site photos. Your team asks in plain words, and you choose what needs your OK before it goes out.

60+

site photos matched to claim lines in one ask.

By block, level and time taken, straight from the site WhatsApp group.

Three jobs it takes off your team

Where the hours go in a construction business

Tenders, progress claims and Work Permit numbers all depend on site photos and notes in WhatsApp groups.

The tender pack, priced with the certs attached

Every RFQ means the same scramble: dig unit rates out of old quotes, re-price the BoQ, and hunt down bizSAFE and insurance certs, usually the night before the tender closes.

Two days to the tender clock. The boss asks at night; by the time he's done with dinner the pack is priced and the missing cert is flagged.

@Glimmer Tanvale Builders' RFQ for the Woodlands drywall & ceiling package closes Friday 12pm. Price the BoQ from our last few similar jobs and pull together the usual attachments. I'll set the margins myself.

GlimmerBotWed, 9:57 PM

Priced 34 of 38 BoQ line items from your three comparable quotes (Mar to Jun, shared drive). The 4 flagged items are steel stud & runner lines, the supplier's July price list in your inbox is +7% on the March rates you quoted last time, so I've used July's.

Attachments ready: WSH risk assessment for drywall works, public liability policy (valid to Feb 2027), ACRA business profile. One problem, the bizSAFE Level 3 certificate on the drive expired 30 Jun and I can't find the renewal anywhere, so I can't confirm you're still certified. The pack shouldn't go out without it.

Drafted, cover email to Tanvale's QS
Quotation ref Q-2607-DW, drywall & ceiling package: priced BoQ (38 items), bizSAFE L3, WSH risk assessment, PL policy, ACRA profile. Validity 30 days. held for your margins

Renewal cert is sitting in my email from the auditor, grab it from there. Send me the pack in the morning, I'll do margins over coffee โ˜•

Morning attendance, quota headroom and the levy bill

Site attendance lives in foremen's WhatsApp photos, and nobody knows the real Work Permit headroom or levy impact until an application bounces at MOM.

One question, three site groups. HR asks before 7am; the agent does the counting and the quota maths, and leaves the filing to a human.

@Glimmer foremen just sent attendance in the site groups. Update today's count, and boss wants 4 more WP carpenters for Tampines. Do we have quota room, and what does it do to the levy?

GlimmerBotThu, 7:02 AM

From the 6:30 photos across the three site groups: 51 of 53 in today, Kumar and Zaw on MC per the Sengkang foreman's note. Attendance sheet updated. On the 4 new Work Permits, assuming basic-skilled rates:

Pass typeNowAfter +4Levy / mo
Local (full CPF)77
S Pass33S$1,950
Work Permit4347S$24,900
Total5357S$26,850

The extra 4 add S$2,800/month in levy. On paper your 7 locals support up to 49 Work Permits, so 47 fits, but two of the seven were paid below the S$1,600 local qualifying salary in June (Talenox), and if MOM counts them at half your ceiling drops to 42 and the application bounces. I can't confirm how MOM will count them from here, run it through the quota calculator first. I've prepped the worker details; the applications themselves are yours to file.

Good catch on the two below LQS ๐Ÿ˜… I'll sort their hours with payroll and check the calculator before we file anything ๐Ÿ™

A progress claim backed by site photos, served on time

Progress claims and variation orders get drafted late from memory, then disputed because the site evidence is scattered across a WhatsApp group nobody wants to scroll.

Claim #8, with receipts. This time the photos are already matched to the claim lines before the QS can argue.

@Glimmer progress claim #8 for the Sengkang job, contract says serve by the 25th, that's Friday. Last time the QS knocked off half our claim because we couldn't show the work. Pull this month's evidence from the site group and build it properly.

GlimmerBotTue, 9:58 PM

Claim #8 built: S$96,400, S$86,930 of work done this month, VO-12 at S$8,120, and the S$1,350 balance still open from VO-09. That takes the contract from 53.5% to 66.5% certified-if-approved (S$742,000 sum). I matched 60+ photos from the site group to claim lines by block, level and timestamp, and annexed 38 as evidence pages.

Drafted, VO-12 for countersigning
Making good to damaged lintels, Blk 12B levels 4 to 7, instructed on site by the RE on 3 Jul, Ravi's WhatsApp note plus 14 timestamped photos attached. 6 man-days at agreed day-rates + materials = S$8,120. The instruction was verbal, so get the RE's countersignature before you lean on it.

And VO-09 from May, did they ever certify it?

GlimmerBotTue, 10:03 PM

Partially, S$4,300 of S$5,650 certified in their response to claim #7. The S$1,350 balance is the open line I've carried into this claim.

Send me the pack. If they dispute this one, at least we've got photos this time ๐ŸŽ‰

Questions owners ask

Straight answers, before you book a call

Do we have to change how our foremen report from site?

No. Foremen keep sending photos and attendance in the site WhatsApp groups. Glimmer reads those groups, your shared drive and your inbox. We confirm the fit for your systems before we start.

Can it file our Work Permit applications with MOM?

No. Glimmer counts site attendance, works out how many more Work Permits your quota allows and adds up the levy. It prepares the worker details. Your HR person checks MOM's quota calculator and files the application.

Will it send a tender or a claim on its own?

Only if you let it. You choose which actions need a person's OK, such as a tender, a progress claim or a variation order. Glimmer asks the person who made the request, in the same chat. Nothing happens until someone taps Approve.

What about our data?

Your data stays yours. Glimmer runs in your own cloud account, or on a private server we set up for you. We write down exactly where your data goes before we start, and what we build for you belongs to you.

What does it cost, and can a grant pay part?

We price it after a call about your work, because the cost depends on the size of the build. Most first builds qualify for a Singapore grant. The government pays part, you pay the rest, and we help you apply. See which grant fits.

Can I try it before we commit to a build?

Yes. Our leadership workshop puts an AI agent in your hands for an afternoon, with no coding. Seats start from S$779.
