WDG JR+: up to 70% support for a project that changes how your people work with AI

The SkillsFuture Workforce Development Grant (Job Redesign+), or WDG JR+, is SWDA's grant for job redesign. It supports 70% of the project cost for an SME and 50% for a larger company, up to S$150,000. A pre-approved consultant leads the consultancy part, and you pay only your share. More details

Open. About 1 month from interest form to approval

Used PSG-JR before? WDG JR+ replaced it in March 2026 and raised the cap from S$30,000 to S$150,000. You can apply again if the project scope and the redesigned roles are different. More details: SWDA WDG JR+ FAQ, MOM and SWDA factsheet

Who qualifies

You can apply if

  • Your company is registered or incorporated in Singapore, and operates here.
  • You employ at least 3 local employees, Singaporeans or PRs.
  • For the consultancy part, a consultant from SWDA's pre-approved list leads. SWDA's list names 26 firms, each with the sectors it serves. Training can also come from an external HR professional.
  • Your project fits at least one of the three parts. Those are consultancy, training for your HR team and managers, and workforce tech paired with one of the first two.
  • SWDA's page lists these conditions and nothing about ownership. The full check happens during the application.

Worked example

A job redesign project quoted at S$40,000

This is an example. WDG JR+ supports 70% of the project cost for an SME, within the cap for each part. You pay only your share to the consultant.

Consultancy, within its S$50,000 capS$25,000
Training for managers and HR, within its S$60,000 capS$15,000
Grant at 70%, paid to the consultant by SWDA's partnerS$28,000
You pay the consultantS$12,000

From 1 December 2026, SFEC (Enhanced) can offset up to 90% of that share. Here the S$10,000 credit covers S$10,000 of it, so you pay S$2,000. GST is not supported. More details: SWDA WDG JR+ page, WDG JR+ FAQ

What the grant covers

Three parts, each with its own cap

  • Workforce consultancy, up to S$50,000. A pre-approved consultant assesses your business needs and AI readiness. Then the consultant sets a workforce strategy, redesigns the roles and writes the implementation plan.
  • Capability building, up to S$60,000. Training for your line managers and HR team. Afterwards they can keep redesigning jobs and manage the change on their own.
  • Workforce tech, up to S$90,000. Workforce analytics platforms, HR manpower tools, skills gap tools and AI-powered HR tech. Only together with one of the other two parts.
  • The three caps sit inside the S$150,000 cap per company, and the support level is the same for each part.

AI inside the project

Where AI fits a job redesign

  • SWDA's AI starter kits run on WDG JR+. Each kit pairs an AI tool for a common workflow with consultancy, training and implementation guidance. You register interest through the same form.
  • AI readiness is in the consultancy scope. SWDA lists it next to flexi-work arrangements and the redesign of roles.
  • Glints is not on SWDA's consultant panel. A pre-approved consultant leads the consultancy part of a WDG JR+ project. We build the AI tools the redesigned jobs need, and we join the redesign from the first workshop. See how we run a workforce project.

SFEC (Enhanced) cuts your share further

  • A fresh S$10,000 credit. It arrives in an online wallet for eligible companies on 1 December 2026.
  • Up to 90% of your share. On a WDG JR+ project the credit covers up to 90% of what you pay after the grant. On a S$20,000 project, an SME pays S$6,000 after the grant and S$600 after the credit, before GST.
  • Nothing to apply for. SWDA emails eligible companies before the launch. You answer a short workforce questionnaire before you can use the credit.
  • The current credit expires on 30 November 2026. Read our SFEC guide for both dates.

Where applications go wrong

Common reasons a project does not fit

  • Tech on its own. Workforce tech is supported only together with consultancy or capability building.
  • The wrong kind of consultant. The consultancy part is for pre-approved consultants. Capability building can also use external HR professionals.
  • Fewer than 3 local employees. SWDA asks for at least 3 Singaporeans or PRs on the payroll.
  • Repeating a PSG-JR project. A company that used PSG-JR can apply again only with a different scope and different redesigned roles.
  • Counting GST. GST is not supportable, under the grant or under SFEC.
  • Expecting the grant in your bank account. The government's share goes to the consultant, not to you. You pay only your share.

Questions owners ask

Straight answers on the WDG JR+ grant

Can you provide some examples of job redesign?

Here is one from the projects we build. A finance clerk spends much of the week matching supplier invoices to purchase orders. An AI agent does the matching and flags the exceptions. The clerk's job is redesigned around the flagged cases and the supplier calls. The consultant writes that new role and the plan to get there.

SWDA's scope for the consultancy part lists the steps. The consultant assesses the business needs, including AI readiness and flexi-work. Then the consultant sets a workforce strategy, redesigns the roles and writes an implementation plan. More details

Is the PSG grant still available?

No. Enterprise Singapore stopped taking PSG applications on 29 September 2026, and PSG is now merged under EDGE. Read our PSG grant guide.

PSG also had a job redesign part, PSG-JR. WDG JR+ replaced it in March 2026 and raised the cap from S$30,000 to S$150,000. More details: Business Grants Portal FAQ, SWDA WDG JR+ FAQ, MOM and SWDA factsheet

How much does WDG JR+ cover?

70% of the project cost for an SME and 50% for a larger company, up to S$150,000 per company. Within that, consultancy is capped at S$50,000, capability building at S$60,000 and workforce tech at S$90,000. More details

Who leads the project?

For the consultancy part, a consultant from SWDA's pre-approved list, which names 26 firms. Training can also come from an external HR professional. The grant runs on what SWDA calls a nett fee model. You pay the consultant your share, and SWDA's partner pays the rest.

Glints is not on the list. We build the AI tools the redesigned jobs need and work alongside the consultant. More details: SWDA WDG JR+ page, consultant list

Do I pay the full cost first?

No. You pay only your co-funding share to the consultant, about 30% for an SME. The government's share goes to the consultant directly once the approved milestones are completed and the documents are in. More details

How is WDG JR+ different from the NTUC CTC Grant?

SWDA describes WDG JR+ as the broad-based grant for job redesign, open to a wide range of companies. The CTC Grant works through a company training committee that designs a project with you. SWDA calls that a more high-touch approach.

WDG JR+ supports up to 70% for an SME. Read our NTUC CTC Grant guide for its level and the worker outcomes it asks for. More details: SWDA WDG JR+ page, WDG JR+ FAQ

Can SFEC pay my share?

From 1 December 2026, yes, in part. SFEC (Enhanced) offsets up to 90% of your out-of-pocket cost on a WDG JR+ project, from a fresh S$10,000 credit. SWDA's example: a S$20,000 project leaves S$6,000 after the 70% grant, and S$600 after the credit.

The current credit expires on 30 November 2026. Read our SFEC guide. More details: SWDA SFEC (Enhanced) page, WDG JR+ FAQ

Does my company need 30% local ownership?

SWDA's page lists two conditions: registered or incorporated and operating in Singapore, and at least 3 local employees. It states nothing about ownership. SWDA confirms full eligibility during the application. More details: SWDA WDG JR+ page, MOM and SWDA factsheet

What does WDG JR+ stand for?

The SkillsFuture Workforce Development Grant (Job Redesign+). It is one of three parts of the Enterprise Workforce Transformation Package. The government has set aside more than S$400 million for the package. The other two are the wider Workforce Development Grant and the redesigned SkillsFuture Enterprise Credit. More details
