The Business Grants Portal (BGP) Singapore: how to apply, step by step

The Business Grants Portal (BGP) is where your company applies for most Singapore business grants. You log in with Corppass, the government login for companies. There are two portals today. BGP 2.0 at apply.gov.sg takes EDGE and WDG JR+ applications. The older BGP keeps the Enterprise Singapore PSG, EDG and MRA projects already running. It still takes PSG applications under other agencies, until each moves to EDGE from November 2026. More details: Business Grants Portal, Business Grants Portal FAQ, GoBusiness EDGE and PSG FAQ

BGP 2.0 takes EDGE and WDG JR+ applications

Your vendor cannot apply for you. Every submission on the portal comes from your own staff, through your company's Corppass. The rules do not allow a vendor, consultant or corporate secretary to submit for you. More details

Before you log in

What to have in place

  • A Corppass account for your company. Your Corppass administrator creates the user accounts and assigns the roles.
  • The ApplyGov e-service, with the BGP Viewer, BGP Preparer or BGP Acceptor role for each staff member who needs it.
  • An Acceptor who can accept the Letter of Offer. GoBusiness writes its Acceptor steps for the managing director, CEO or equivalent. The Letter of Offer is addressed to that person.
  • The documents the activity asks for, such as a vendor quotation. You must not have paid the vendor anything before you submit.

Corppass roles

The three roles on the portal

  • BGP Viewer. This role looks at applications and cannot create or submit anything.
  • BGP Preparer. This role creates and submits applications, change requests and claims.
  • BGP Acceptor. This role does everything a Preparer does, and it alone can accept the Letter of Offer.
  • Your role shows next to your name in the portal's masthead. Your Corppass administrator assigns the roles under an e-service called ApplyGov, listed under the Government Technology Agency of Singapore (GovTech).

After you submit

What happens next

  • Status. The All grants tab on the BGP 2.0 dashboard shows the status of every application.
  • Questions from the officer. A form sent back to you sits under Updates required as Pending Re-submission. The officer's comments are at the top of the form.
  • Approval. You receive a Letter of Offer with the grant amount, the project period and what you must deliver. Your Acceptor opens View offer and accepts it.
  • Rejection. There is no appeal, but the agency tells you the reason when you ask.

Changes and claims

Dates to plan around under EDGE

  • 1 November 2026. Change requests open, for the project end date and the claim due date only. Claims open for digital tools and equipment. Claims for other EDGE activities open on 1 December 2026.
  • One claim, one extension. EDGE accepts a single final claim. You can extend the claim due date once, before it passes. After that the grant expires.
  • The payout. PayNow Corporate within 14 working days of claim approval, or GIRO within 8 weeks.

What the portal asks for

Have these ready

  • A current company profile. The portal pulls your ACRA record and asks you to refresh it every 3 months. It also asks for headcount, financials and any holding company or subsidiary.
  • Financial statements. Unaudited statements or management accounts are accepted.
  • The documents the activity lists, such as a vendor quotation and a one-year projection of the cost the tool saves.
  • For the claim: proof of payment, the deliverables in the Letter of Offer, and your PayNow Corporate or GIRO details.

Where applications go wrong

Common portal mistakes

  • The wrong portal. An EDGE application goes to BGP 2.0. The older BGP keeps the Enterprise Singapore PSG, EDG and MRA projects already running. It still takes PSG applications under other agencies, until each moves to EDGE from November 2026.
  • The wrong role. Only a Preparer or Acceptor can submit an EDGE application. Ask your Corppass administrator for the role.
  • Letting the vendor submit. Applications, change requests and claims must come from your own staff.
  • Paying before you submit. Enterprise Singapore does not support an application made after work started or a deposit was paid. Read why you apply before you sign.
  • Missing the claim due date. The portal will not take the claim afterwards. Extend the date early, because only one extension is allowed.
  • Changing the vendor after approval. A change request cannot do it. You terminate the application and submit a new one before you pay the new vendor.

Questions owners ask

Straight answers on the Business Grants Portal

What is BGP Singapore?

BGP is the Business Grants Portal. It is the government website where companies in Singapore find and apply for business grants in one place. You log in with your company's Corppass.

There are two portals today. BGP 2.0 at apply.gov.sg takes EDGE, WDG JR+ and other newer grants. The older BGP keeps the Enterprise Singapore PSG, EDG and MRA projects already running. It still takes PSG applications under other agencies, until each moves to EDGE from November 2026. GoBusiness says the move to BGP 2.0 completes by the end of 2026. More details: Business Grants Portal FAQ, Business Grants Portal, GoBusiness EDGE and PSG FAQ

How to change from preparer to acceptor?

Your Corppass administrator does it. On corppass.gov.sg, under e-Services, the administrator adds the ApplyGov e-service of the Government Technology Agency of Singapore. Then the administrator assigns it to you with the Acceptor role. The effective date can be today, and the expiry date can stay blank.

GoBusiness writes its Acceptor steps for the managing director, CEO or equivalent. The Letter of Offer is addressed to that person. Not sure who your administrator is? Find Your Corppass Admin on corppass.gov.sg shows the names for your UEN. More details

Which portal do I use, BGP or BGP 2.0?

BGP 2.0 for an EDGE or WDG JR+ application. The older BGP keeps the Enterprise Singapore PSG, EDG and MRA projects already running. It still takes PSG applications under other agencies, until each moves to EDGE from November 2026. The two portals share the same Corppass roles, so one login works for both. More details: Business Grants Portal, GoBusiness EDGE and PSG FAQ, BGP 2.0 FAQ

What government grants are available in Singapore?

On BGP 2.0 today: EDGE and WDG JR+, among others. EDGE is Enterprise Singapore's grant for ready-made tools and bigger digital projects. WDG JR+ is SWDA's job redesign grant.

Beyond the portal, the NTUC CTC Grant, the SkillsFuture Enterprise Credit and the Enterprise Innovation Scheme tax deduction. One line on each is on our grants page. More details

Can my vendor or consultant apply for me?

No. Enterprise Singapore requires every application, change request and claim to come from your own staff through your Corppass. A vendor, consultant or corporate secretary cannot submit for you, and you must declare any relationship with your vendor.

We prepare the proposal and the costs with you. The submission comes from your side. More details

How long does a grant application take on the portal?

It depends on the grant. Enterprise Singapore gives about 1 week for a pre-approved digital tool under EDGE, such as an AI chatbot. Its larger activities have no fixed time. GoBusiness gives 4 to 10 weeks for grants on the portal in general. More details: Enterprise Singapore AI chatbot page, EDGE FAQ, Business Grants Portal application FAQ

What is a Letter of Offer?

The approval letter. It states the conditions of support, the grant amount and the project period. It also lists the deliverables you must show at the claim. Your Acceptor downloads it from the portal and clicks Accept. More details: Enterprise Singapore AI chatbot page, BGP 2.0 FAQ

Can I change my project after it is approved?

Under EDGE, only the project end date and the claim due date can change. You submit a change request on the portal, from 1 November 2026. To change the vendor or fix a wrong quotation, you terminate the application and submit a new one. Do that before you pay anyone. More details

Who do I contact when the portal does not work?

The BGP 2.0 helpdesk, on +65 6708 7288 or through its online form, Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 5.30pm. It answers within 3 business days, or up to 15 for a complex problem. For a Corppass problem, the Corppass helpdesk is on +65 6335 3530.
