SMEs Go Digital: IMDA's list of ready-made tools, with up to 50% support under EDGE

SMEs Go Digital is IMDA's programme for ready-made digital tools. Its platform lists more than 300 pre-approved solutions, with up to 50% grant support for an SME. Under EDGE, a single-function digital tool such as an AI chatbot has to come from this list. More details: IMDA SMEs Go Digital page, Enterprise Singapore AI chatbot page

More than 300 pre-approved solutions

PSG is now merged under EDGE. The pre-approved list is the same one PSG used. The grant for a tool on it is now EDGE. Read our PSG grant guide. More details

Who it is for

SMEs Go Digital fits you if

  • You want a tool that works as it comes. A GenAI chatbot for your customers, an HR system or accounting software are examples.
  • You are happy to choose from the pre-approved vendors. Under EDGE, a single-function digital tool has to come from this list.
  • Your business is registered and operating in Singapore, and Singaporeans or PRs own at least 30% of it. EDGE asks for both.
  • You have not paid the vendor or started the work before you apply for the grant.

How to find an AI tool

Four ways into the list

  • Go Digital Advisor. Describe your problem in your own words, such as manual work that makes sales hard to track. It suggests pre-approved solutions to look at.
  • GenAI Navigator. Pick the challenge, customer engagement or marketing, and it points you to GenAI chatbots or content tools.
  • Industry Digital Plans. A step-by-step guide for your sector, from food services to logistics, with the tools and training for each stage.
  • Browse by business area. Sales and marketing, HR, operations, cybersecurity and sustainability, each with its pre-approved categories.

Pre-approved

What pre-approved changes for your grant

  • IMDA has checked the vendor. At least 5 SMEs used the solution for 6 months and still use it. At least 5 reported a productivity gain of 15% or more.
  • The package is fixed on the platform. Your quotation has to match it exactly. A package builder lets you adjust licences, the implementation period and training.
  • The outcome is fast. About 1 week for a pre-approved tool. For an integrated ERP system from a vendor outside the list, Enterprise Singapore gives 10 weeks.
  • Pre-approved is not free. EDGE supports up to 50% of eligible costs for an SME. You pay the vendor in full and claim the grant back.

Not on the list

A custom AI agent is a different route

  • A pre-approved tool works the same way for every customer. An AI agent built around your own systems and steps is not on the list. Glints is not a pre-approved vendor.
  • A bigger build can apply under a different part of EDGE. Read our guide to custom builds under EDGE.
  • On the call we tell you when a ready-made tool from the list would do the job. Then you buy that instead.

Documents

What to prepare

  • A vendor quotation that matches the package on SMEs Go Digital exactly.
  • The package reference ID from the platform, generated with your Corppass.
  • A projection of the cost the tool saves you in the year after it goes live.
  • A current tenancy agreement for the place where you use the tool.
  • For the claim: proof that you paid in full. Also a photo of the tool running, with its licence number, user ID or email.

Where it goes wrong

Common mistakes with a pre-approved tool

  • A quotation that does not match the package. Enterprise Singapore asks for an exact match. Adjust the package on the platform first.
  • Paying before you apply. A deposit or a start on the work before you submit makes the application retrospective, and it is not supported.
  • Letting the vendor apply for you. Third parties cannot apply for or manage the grant on your behalf.
  • Expecting the platform to pay. The money comes from EDGE, up to 50% of eligible costs, after you have paid the vendor in full.
  • Applying for the same tool twice. A solution you already received grant support for is not eligible again.
  • Counting GST or maintenance. Neither is an eligible cost.

What does pre-approved mean?

IMDA has checked the vendor and the solution against its criteria before listing it. An SME can then buy it with grant support. IMDA describes pre-approved solutions as ready, affordable and proven to deliver productivity gains.

The check includes at least 5 SMEs who used the solution for 6 months and still use it. At least 5 of them must report a productivity gain of 15% or more. The vendor must have been registered in Singapore for at least 18 months. More details: IMDA pre-approval page, vendor guide

How does a vendor get on the list?

Through IMDA's pre-approval process, which has four stages. The vendor completes a self-assessment and applies on IMDA's Vendor Management Portal. IMDA evaluates the solution, with a live demonstration if asked, and then approves it. IMDA says it usually takes 4 to 5 months.

A listed vendor passes an annual review in the ninth month of each year, or faces suspension or termination. More details: IMDA vendor guide, pre-approval page

Is Glints a pre-approved vendor?

No. Glints builds custom AI agents for your company. When a ready-made tool on the pre-approved list would do your job, we tell you on the call.

Can I use a vendor that is not on the list?

For a single-function digital tool under EDGE, no. Enterprise Singapore sends you to IMDA's pre-approved vendors for those. For an integrated ERP system, your own vendor is allowed when no pre-approved package has the functions you need. The outcome then takes 10 weeks instead of 1.
