AI for F&B

An AI teammate for F&B that clears the paperwork before service starts

Glimmer works in your team chat. It reconciles delivery payouts, covers a sick call on the roster and answers the late-night catering enquiry. Your team asks in plain words, and you choose what needs your OK before it goes out.

3

delivery platforms checked against your POS in one ask.

GrabFood, foodpanda and Deliveroo, for every outlet.

Three jobs it takes off your team

Where the hours go in an F&B business

Three delivery platforms to reconcile, a roster that changes every week, and catering enquiries that arrive after closing.

Finance and ops

Delivery payouts, reconciled before opening

Every Monday someone loses half a day matching GrabFood, foodpanda and Deliveroo payouts, each with different commission rates, against the POS and the bank statement.

Three platforms, one answer. The finance exec asks once; the agent works through every outlet's payouts and flags the one that's off.

@Glimmer last week's delivery payouts are in. Reconcile GrabFood, foodpanda and Deliveroo against the StoreHub sales for all 4 outlets, flag anything off before I close the week in Xero.

GlimmerBotMon, 8:19 AM

Done, 1,284 orders matched across the three platforms. Three outlets reconcile to the cent; one doesn't:

OutletPOS salesPayoutsGap
Tanjong PagarS$18,204S$17,791-S$413
Jurong EastS$11,876S$11,876S$0
SerangoonS$9,442S$9,442S$0

The gap is 22 GrabFood orders refunded by the platform but never voided in StoreHub, mostly one rainy-day dinner service. Not missing money, missing paperwork.

Drafted for you
22 void entries prepared for StoreHub and a one-line adjusting entry for Xero, say the word and I'll post them.

Post them. That used to be my whole Monday morning ๐Ÿ˜…

Saturday sick-call, roster fixed by 10pm

A Friday-night sick-call means the GM spends the evening ringing part-timers one by one, second-guessing student work-hour caps and the work-permit quota before a fully booked Saturday service.

Covered before midnight. One ask, and the weekend gap is filled, inside MOM's rules, no new hire.

@Glimmer Kavitha just called in sick for tomorrow, that's my Saturday floor lead gone and lunch is fully booked. Who can cover without me breaking any roster rules?

GlimmerBotFri, 9:51 PM

Checked the Talenox roster and messaged the part-timer WhatsApp group. Three can take hours tomorrow:

NameCan coverHrs this wkStatus
Nurul A.11am to 10pm26hclear
Fadli (WP)11am to 5pm38hclear
Wei Jie6 to 8pm only14h16h student cap

Suggest Nurul on the full double, Fadli topping up the lunch rush, and Wei Jie for the 6 to 8pm peak only, that keeps him under the 16-hour term-time cap for student pass holders. No new hire needed, so your work-permit count stays at 6 of 7 and levies don't move. One caveat: Nurul said yes on WhatsApp but hasn't accepted the Talenox shift yet, I can't confirm her until she taps accept.

Lock it in and chase Nurul in the morning. This is usually me calling six people at midnight ๐Ÿ˜…

The 11pm catering enquiry, quoted by 11pm

Catering enquiries land on WhatsApp after close and get answered mid-morning, by then the customer has booked elsewhere. Every quote needs menu, headcount, Halal handling and a delivery slot before it's worth sending.

Quoted while the kitchen is still closing. The enquiry that used to wait overnight gets a complete reply in minutes.

@Glimmer catering enquiry just came in on WhatsApp, office lunch this Thursday, they asked about Halal. I'm still cashing up, can you draft the reply so it goes out tonight?

GlimmerBotWed, 10:58 PM

Read the thread: 60 pax, Thursday 12pm at a Raffles Place office, asked for Halal options. Priced it off Menu B:

WhatsApp reply, ready to send
Hi XXXXXX! Yes, we can do Thursday ๐Ÿ™‚ Mini buffet for 60 pax at S$13.50/pax (Menu B, no pork, no lard, 2 mains + 2 sides + dessert), delivery S$50, total S$860. Setup 11:15 to 11:45am, subject to slot confirmation. Shall I hold it for you? PayNow deposit S$200 confirms.

Two flags before you hit send: the kitchen isn't Halal-certified, so I wrote "no pork, no lard" instead of "Halal", please confirm that's how you want it framed. And I couldn't confirm the second delivery driver for Thursday, so the 11:15 slot is marked subject to confirmation.

Good catch on the Halal wording, send it. Last month we lost two of these by replying at 10am ๐Ÿ™

Your systems

It works with what your outlets already run

Nothing gets replaced. Common tools connect through connectors we have checked. For the rest, we build the connector with you, or Glimmer uses the website the way a person would.

Singapore grants

The government pays part. You pay the rest

A first AI build for one job is the kind of project Singapore's AI grants were made for. GenAI x Digital Leaders from IMDA covers a focused first build of up to S$20,000. We help you apply.

How we start

One team, one job, about 3 months

We pick the job that costs you the most hours, build the first agent with you and hand it over. Your team runs it after that.

Questions owners ask

Straight answers, before you book a call

Do we have to change our POS or our delivery platforms?

No. Glimmer works on top of what you already run: the POS, the delivery platforms, payroll and your accounts. Nobody has to learn a new app. We confirm the fit for your systems before we start.

Our staff talk on WhatsApp. Can Glimmer work there?

Yes. Glimmer joins the chat app your team already uses: Lark, Microsoft Teams, Slack, Google Chat, WhatsApp or Telegram. If you do not have a shared chat app yet, we help you pick one before we start.

Will it post to our accounts or reply to customers on its own?

Only if you let it. You choose which actions need a person's OK, such as a payment, an entry in your accounts or a reply to a customer. Glimmer asks the person who made the request, in the same chat. Nothing happens until someone taps Approve.

What about our data?

Your data stays yours. Glimmer runs in your own cloud account, or on a private server we set up for you. We write down exactly where your data goes before we start, and what we build for you belongs to you.

What does it cost, and can a grant pay part?

We price it after a call about your work, because the cost depends on the size of the build. Most first builds qualify for a Singapore grant. The government pays part, you pay the rest, and we help you apply. See which grant fits.

Can I try it before we commit to a build?

Yes. Our leadership workshop puts an AI agent in your hands for an afternoon, with no coding. Seats start from S$779.
