AI for recruitment

An AI teammate for recruitment agencies that reads every CV in the pile

Glimmer works in your team chat. It screens every application against the job order, pre-checks work passes and finds the runner-up from a past role. Your consultants ask in plain words, and you choose what needs your OK before it goes out.

applications screened against the job order in one ask.

Three jobs it takes off your team

Where the hours go in a recruitment agency

Hundreds of CVs arrive for one role, and work pass rules change often. Last quarter's runner-up is hard to find when a new role opens.

214 applicants, shortlisted before the 9am standup

A role posted Friday has 200+ applications by Monday. Consultants only ever read the top of the pile, so the shortlist is really "whoever applied first", and the best CV at position 170 never gets seen.

The whole pile, not the top of it. Every application read against the job order's must-haves, before the consultant's first coffee.

@Glimmer the regional sales manager role we posted Friday, how bad is the inbox? Client wants a shortlist by Wednesday and I haven't opened a single CV.

GlimmerBotMon, 7:57 AM

214 applications across JobStreet, LinkedIn and MyCareersFuture. Screened all of them against the five must-haves in the job order: 61 out on work eligibility, 96 missing the channel-sales experience, 57 read in depth, 12 strong. Top of the list:

CandidateCurrentNoticeFit
XXXXXX T.Distributor RSM, 6 yrs1 mo5/5 must-haves
XXXXXX R.Channel lead, SEA2 mo5/5 must-haves
XXXXXX L.Key accounts, 8 yrs1 mo4/5, no SEA travel

The full 12 are ranked in the shared sheet with a two-line rationale each. Worth noting: the strongest CV was application #171, it came in Sunday night. Want me to draft the first-call invites for the top 5?

#171, we'd never have reached that one. Draft the invites, I'll send after standup 🙏

Work-pass sanity check before the shortlist goes out

Consultants do EP COMPASS points and S Pass quota maths from memory, mid-call. One wrong guess and a candidate gets to offer stage before anyone discovers the pass was never going to be approved.

Flagged before it embarrasses you. The agent pre-checks eligibility; the consultant verifies on MOM's own tools before anything is promised.

@Glimmer before I send the XXXXXX shortlist tonight, two of the three need passes. Sanity-check them so I'm not promising the client something MOM will bounce.

GlimmerBotThu, 6:44 PM

Pre-checked both against the CVs and the client's offer ranges, this is a screen, not a verdict:

Candidate A (EP route): offered salary clears the age-adjusted qualifying bar. On COMPASS I can score C1 salary (10 pts) and C2 qualifications (20 pts, degree is on the reference list), that's 30 of the 40 needed. C3 diversity and C4 local-share points depend on the client's own workforce profile, which I can't see from here. Candidate B (S Pass route): salary is fine, but from the client's last headcount they look at or near their S Pass sub-quota, one leaver would change that.

Recommend you run A through MOM's COMPASS Self-Assessment Tool with the client, and have the client confirm quota headroom in their myMOM Portal before either name goes out.

Will run the SAT with their HR tomorrow and hold B until quota's confirmed. Better an awkward call now than a withdrawn offer later.

The runner-up from March, remembered in September

Every closed role leaves behind a great second-place candidate, who is then forgotten in the ATS. When a matching role opens six months later, consultants start sourcing from zero instead of from people who already said yes once.

The pipeline that pays twice. A new job order lands at night; the agent finds the silver medalists who were one "yes" away last time.

@Glimmer new job order just came in, finance manager, logistics client, S$7.5 to 8.5k. Before I post anything: who have we already taken to final rounds for roles like this?

GlimmerBotTue, 9:22 PM

Searched the last 12 months of closed finance roles in the ATS, 3 silver medalists fit this brief. Two lost out on timing, not quality: one to an internal hire, one because the client froze the role. Interview notes for all three are linked in the thread.

WhatsApp re-engagement, ready to send
Hi XXXXXX, Vanessa here from the agency, we spoke in March for the FP&A role (you were their final two!). A finance manager seat just opened at a logistics firm, S$7.5 to 8.5k, hybrid, town. Given how that last process went, I'd like to put you in first, before it's posted. Open to a quick call this week?

One flag: the third candidate's LinkedIn shows a new title since our last contact 7 months ago, she may already be settled. I'd send to the first two tonight and let me confirm her status before you spend a credit on her.

Send both. If either lands, that's a placement with zero sourcing cost 🎉

It works with what your consultants already use

Questions owners ask

Straight answers, before you book a call

Do we have to change our ATS or the job boards we post on?

No. Glimmer works on top of what you already run: your ATS, the job boards and your shared sheets. Nobody has to learn a new app. We confirm the fit for your systems before we start.

Can it tell us if a candidate will get a work pass?

It gives you a first check. Glimmer reads the CV and the client's offer range, and flags a pass that looks at risk. It does not see the client's own workforce numbers. You confirm on MOM's COMPASS Self-Assessment Tool, and the client checks their quota in the myMOM Portal.

Will it message candidates or clients on its own?

Only if you let it. You choose which actions need a person's OK, such as an invite to a candidate or a shortlist to a client. Glimmer asks the person who made the request, in the same chat. Nothing happens until someone taps Approve.

We hold a lot of CVs. What about our data?

Your data stays yours. Glimmer runs in your own cloud account, or on a private server we set up for you. Each team's Glimmer sees only what you allow. If a person is not in that team's chat group, they cannot ask it anything.

We write down exactly where your data goes before we start, and what we build for you belongs to you.

What does it cost, and can a grant pay part?

We price it after a call about your work, because the cost depends on the size of the build. Most first builds qualify for a Singapore grant. The government pays part, you pay the rest, and we help you apply. See which grant fits.

Can I try it before we commit to a build?

Yes. Our leadership workshop puts an AI agent in your hands for an afternoon, with no coding. Seats start from S$779.
